In Bloom by Jonquil
Diane Samandi has always been true to her creative roots. Inspired by her silent movie actress Great-Aunt and fashion illustrator Grandmother, she began sewing patchwork bikinis in the front window of her San Francisco Victorian home in the late 1970s. Diane loved old Hollywood glamour and vintage design and with those ideas in mind, bikinis became dresses, and dresses became exquisite lingerie.
Jonquil was founded by Diane in 1980—a romantic lingerie line known for its intricate detail and lavish laces. A favorite among brides, Jonquil has enjoyed 30 years of success, and it’s sold at selective department stores and fine specialty boutiques worldwide.
In 2007, Diane teamed up with MGT Industries, a company specializing in the production of molded cup babydolls. Together, they came up with “In Bloom by Jonquil,” and exclusive lingerie line that gives the feminine, graceful elements of Jonquil a fresh, flirty flair. They began by incorporating molded cups into Diane’s elegant, European designs. “In Bloom by Jonquil” is sold at selective department stores and fine specialty boutiques worldwide.
